Walking Tour Budapest Itinerary

At the beginning of the tour, the guide picks you up at your hotel or wherever you want to.

First, we discover the city center to visit Budapest’s biggest church, Saint Stephen’s Basilica.

Later, we head to the Hungarian Parliament to talk about politics and cover a little bit of the controversial topic of Communism at Liberty Square.

Afterward, we have a nice short walk on the Promenade and visit the Shoes Memorial.

The next part of the tour is crossing from Pest to Buda by public transport, reaching Batthány Square.

In the end, we discover the Buda Castle district, including the Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion.

“Petra was entertaining, thorough and informative. We saw a good part of the city while learning about history and culture, in addition she shared personal information that was both relevant and funny. We look forward to future visits to Budapest where we can spend more time with her and learn more about this beautiful city.”

“Petra was very knowledgable and articulate explaining history, sites as well as former and current living and political conditions of Hungary and Budapest. Breath of fresh air in comparison to some other guides. We enjoyed her company and will rebook her in a heartbeat. Good job Petra”
